Although the existence of clinical depression in our society may be a growing problem, before you allow a doctor to start dispensing Prozac, you may want to have any physical problems ruled out first. It is becoming more and more evident that such ailments as hypothyroidism and chronic Epstein-Barr Viral infection (CEBV) are being misdiagnosed as "depression." I learned that the hard way. The pharmaceutical industry makes a lot more money off of treating depression than it does other underrated physical conditions.
