For those who do not know what Autism is a I have given you a short discription of it: it is a {developmental disorder that affects a person's ability to communicate and interact with others.} In responce to your question I would say that they can be helped to change some of the Pationents with this dissorder. It would take a great deal of time and follow through. First you would have to make contact in his mind which in this case whould not be hard. he does understand and gets so frustrated when he can not talk back. I know you can tell just what I am talking about. Once this is done you would give him specific directions and help him to do this. trust me he can hear every word clearly.
